Norway 11U Tournament Rules – Fee $300
Game:
All games in pool play will have a home team decided by a coin flip.
- Each game will be 6 innings with a time limit of 1 hour and 30 minutes in pool play. 1 hour and 45 minutes on championship day (May not start a new inning after 1 hour and 30 minutes or 45 minutes) 10 Run Rule after 4 innings have been played. 15 run rule after 3 innings. Championship Game will go 6 innings unless run rule is in play. All teams should be at their scheduled diamond ½ hour before game time. If previous game gets done early, we will start your game early to keep the tournament running ahead of schedule.
- In Pool Play there can be a tie, however after pool play is complete, there can be no ties. If the game is tied after 6 innings or 1 hour and 30 minute time limit, teams will play 1 more inning, starting with a runner at 2nd Base with 1 out. Runner will be the player that made the last out. Team bats until the 3rd out is recorded.
- 11U will be allowed 9 players on the field (using 3 outfielders). There is no limit on the amount of players on your roster.
- Teams may either roster bat or bat the lineup. Teams must choose before the game begins and the umpire and opposing team must be informed. Teams who roster bat can make open substitution. All players on the roster must hit at least once.
- All lineup changes must be reported to the opposing team, starters may re-enter the game once. They must re-enter in the same position in the batting order.
- Both USSSA and USA Bat standards will be accepted. Swing what you bring
- Batters may not square around to bunt and then swing at a pitch.
- TIE BREAKERS in pool play: 1. Head-to-Head 2. Runs Allowed 3. Runs Scored
- No abusive or profane language. Umpires and tournament officials have the right to stop play and have the violator (coach, player, fans) removed before the game continues.
- 11U will be played on a 46/60 field.
Player Eligibility:
- Team rosters must be turned in the tournament director prior to the first game. You can turn in your team roster through email or text. Proof of age will be required if requested by tournament director. Players must be 11 years old (11U) on April 30, 2022. Awards for 1st & 2nd Place are limited to 12 players.
Pitching Rules:
- New Pitchers are allowed up to 8 warm up pitches, continuing pitcher gets 6 per inning.
- 2 visits to the mound will result in a pitching change.
- Pitchers are limited to 2 innings per game. Maximum of 8 innings per tournament. 1 pitch thrown in an inning constitutes an inning and a pitcher cannot pitch in same game once removed from that game.
- Hitters can advance to first on a dropped 3rd strike.
Base Running:
- Players are not allowed to lead off prior to pitch crossing home plate. Players caught leaving will result a warning for the team the first instance and a dead ball. The 2nd instance for the team the player will be called out.
- Players may attempt to steal once the ball has crossed home plate.
- Players may take as many bases they can get on an overthrow, as long as the ball is in the field of play. If the ball goes out of play, the runner gets the base they are going to, plus an additional base.
- Stealing home on a pass ball is allowed.
